Antoine Peiffer
Antoine is a Naval Architect and a passionate advocate of marine renewable energies, particularly offshore wind and wave power. He joined the engineering team of Principle Power Inc. (formerly Marine Innovation and Technology) in September 2009. He currently leads the aero-hydro group of the company which focuses on the prediction of fully-coupled design loads for the structural design of the WindFloat platforms. He received his MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley under the Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture program.

Cameron Baker
Cameron is a senior marine engineer and naval architect at Herbert Engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in Naval Architecture in the state of Washington. He received a B.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute in 2007.

Ying Mei
Mei works for Herbert Engineering Corp. in Alameda headquarter. She is primarily involved in the areas of general naval architecture and vessel design with experience in intact and damage stability analysis, ship structural design, and preparation of operating. During her schooling, Mei had internships at Nantong COSCO shipyard, Jiangnan Shipyard, and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai, as well as at Lloyds Register and at ABS Houston. Mei holds a B.S. degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2002) and an M.S. degree from the University of Michigan (2004). She is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington. She is the Chair of SNAME Northern California Section ’13-’14. |

Alexia Aubault
Alexia Aubault graduated with an Engineering Diploma from Ecole Nationale Superieure de Techniques Avancees (ENSTA), in Paris, France in 2004. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Ocean Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2005. She has been a naval architect at Berkeley-based Marine Innovation and Technology since then. Her work focuses on global design of floating platforms. She has experience in hydrodynamic analysis and is currently working on the structural design of a floating foundation for a wind turbine, the WindFloat. |

Chris Kasey
Chris is a Hull & Systems Engineer with Chevron Shipping Company, based in San Ramon, CA, and his most recent role has been Project Engineer for the design and construction of LNG Carriers. Prior to joining Chevron Shipping in 2004, he was a Project Manager / Naval Architect with SENESCO, a Naval Architect with John W. Gilbert Associates, Inc. and a Naval Architect with Electric Boat. Chris holds his Professional Engineer License and is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.S.E. & an M.S.in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and an M.S.E. in Industrial & Operations Engineering. |

Jon Elkin
Jon is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley ('03, '06), with an M.Eng. in Ocean Engineering and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. As a Naval Architect - Ocean Engineer with Jeppesen Marine in Alameda, he specializes in ship performance modeling. In addition, he is a US Coast Guard-licensed captain and operates passenger ferries in San Francisco Bay for the Blue & Gold Fleet.

Prof. Emeritus Ronald W. Yeung (Distinguished Section Alumnus)
Ronald Yeung received his BS, MS, Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in '68, '70, '73, respectively. He was the University Gold Medalist of his graduating Class. Prior to joining UCB faculty, he was an instructor at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard, a ship-motion analyst at Litton Ship Systems, Culver City, CA and a faculty member of in Ocean Engineering at MIT (1973-82). Recipient of numerous professional awards, he was an Australian Fulbright-Hayes Senior Scholar (1981), a Georg Weinblum Lecturer (2002-03), SNAME-Davidson Gold Medalist, and Inaugural Chair endowed by the American Bureau of Shippingin Ocean Engineering (2012). In OMAE-2016, he was presented the ASME-OOAE Lifetime Achievement Award. He retired from teaching in Fall 2017 but continues on research topics: “green ship” by design, roll-motion mitigation, alternative renewable energy from currents, waves, and tides.
